Download your supplies

Open a new image 200x200 with a transparent background.

Draw the outline with the model you can download above. Don't hesitate to zoom.

Duplicate the layer with the outline and work with this new layer, it will help you to select an already colored part.

For this tutorial, we use black color for the outline.

I leave you choose your colors for interior and shadow (you can save them in a file).

I give you only effects in this tutorial.

For the effects, I always use the cutout effect.
So you select using the magic wand > Go to Selections and Float. I use Ctrl+F for that.

 

- Body -

Cutout Effect : vertical : 0 horizontal : 0 opacity : 100 blur : 20 Cutout Effect : vertical : 0 horizontal : 0 opacity : 100 blur : 12 Add uniform noise at 5

- Nose -

Cutout Effect : vertical : 0 horizontal : 0 opacity : 100 blur : 5

- Eyes -

Cutout Effect : vertical : 0 horizontal : 0 opacity : 100 blur : 5

- Mouth -

Cutout Effect : vertical : 0 horizontal : 0 opacity : 100 blur : 5

- Hands -

Cutout Effect : vertical : 0 horizontal : 0 opacity : 100 blur : 5

- Feet -

Cutout Effect : vertical : 0 horizontal : 0 opacity : 100 blur : 8

- Cheeks -

Add a new layer.
Go to the layer with the outline and select the heart. Then, go to your new layer.
Draw the cheeks with your paintbrush, choose round and size 30. Gaussian blur at 7.

Add a new layer and put 3 white dots on the cheeks with your paintbrush size 1. Gaussian blur at 1.

- Hat -

You can add a hat, I've put the outline already drawn in the supplies to download.

I give you the effects for the hat.

You're done.
You can now personalize your work as you want.
